Lebanon’s capital faced the Beirut explosion on 4 August. It killed more than 100 people and injuring more than 4000 others.
How Lebanon Explosion Happened
It occurred in the port area of Beirut took place at about 6 pm local time [15:00 GMT] on Tuesday. People believed that there was a fire leading up to the explosion that flattened the harbor front and surrounding buildings.
The event, which blew out windows at the city’s international airport nine kilometers away, as the equivalent of a magnitude 3.3 earthquake measured by seismologists.

Why such a big blast

Prime minister of Lebanon’s Hassan Diab said 2750 tones of ammonium nitrate, an agriculture fertilizer, stored in a portside warehouse had blown up, sparking’’ a disaster in every sense of the word’’.
Ammonium nitrate is an odorless crystalline substance. It has been the cause of numerous industrial explosions over the years.
As Lebanon’s general security chief Abbas Ibrahim the saying goes the material had been impounded years earlier and stored in the warehouse directed close to Beirut’s shopping and nightlife districts.

This explosion killed more than 100 people and injured more than 4000 people. And also the Lebanese red cross said on Wednesday in the latest update toll.

President Michel Aoun has informed he will release 100 billion Iira of emergency funds.

Was it deliberate happened?
There is no Lebanese official information that the explosions were caused deliberately.
Damage
There is huge damage because of the explosion. The damage extended over half of Beirut. This cost above $ 15 billion and insured losses at around $3 billion. About 90 present of the hotels in the city destroyed and three hospitals completely destroyed.
